Blue and red will never be dead

Every one has more than one of this in their wardrobe. Yes it’s the colour blue!

As they say when in doubt wear blue. For work ,blue works the best, for that all important meeting just get that blue shirt with black or beige trousers and you’re good to go.

What about all blue? Blue shirt and blue jeans ? Ever tried that ? One can carry this off depending on how you contrast it. You don’t wanna wear a light blue shirt with light coloured jeans. You want to pair a light blue shirt with dark coloured jeans or vice versa.

Now when it comes to accessories such as shoes and belt, you always have the standard options such as black or brown.

But what really looks smart is the combination of blue and red. You can pair a blue shirt with red trousers or just all blue with red belt and red shoes, or go with the evergreen combination of red shirt with blue jeans. (Reference pictures attached)

In the end, one can’t get bored of blue colour and more is less when it comes to filling our wardrobes with blue’s.

I never heard when in doubt wear blue – for us – it is black that is default – but blue is so much better – and your photos are great -‘both looks are fresh and crisp – and read and blue are a nice “two”

Love your photos – you make a great model. Blue is a very popular colour for a lot of clothes in the UK, both men’s and women’s. Blue jeans are always popular and for more formal clothes foe men, blue can be be good. I can’t deny, though, that many men here wear darker suits for formal occasions, often black or navy blue. 🙂

“Every one has more than one of this in their wardrobe. Yes it’s the colour blue!” i don’t recall ever owning a blue shirt, pants or anything blue. my mom dressed me in black, shades of brown and white, with strictly black shoes. i have worn only black since high school. but i agree with every other point you make, the fact that i never owned blue or wear only black now doesn’t mean i don’t appreciate the color or what you wrote on it. design and technical theatre is my primary specialty now, so i deal with colors in all aspects of stage production (fate). i have enjoyed reading your quotes and short pieces. brilliant! thanks for visiting my blog.
